About

We want to see our cities flourish in every sphere – socially, culturally and spiritually. Followers of Jesus have a unique responsibility and pivotal role, expressed through a vast diversity of callings and communities in neighborhoods all over the city, but united by a common concern to honor God, to serve the city, to seek the lost, and to care for the poor and marginalized. The Gospel and the City is a gathering in a city for the people of that city – to align hearts to God’s mission and to be encouraged by stories of the work God is already doing in their city. The Gospel and the City inspires through stories of change and impact. It shows us that the people who live there are ripples of the Cross that serves and exemplify the grace and mercy of the Gospel, and it serves as a means to tangibly show how the people in that city can love and serve their city in their own ways. Through this time attendees are able to learn what it means to be a witness of the Gospel. They are able to balance the need to both proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel through acts of mercy and justice. They will be able to hear from the people who are serving and ministering in the city and find opportunities to also serve the city they are in.
