James joins the Crowell School of Business, where he teaches accounting and finance, both in the undergraduate and MBA programs. James is a Certified Public Accountant with eight years of professional experience in public and industry accounting. Before coming to Biola, he served as a faculty member at Asbury College and Indiana Wesleyan University. James holds a BBA and an MPA in Accounting from the University of Texas, a Master’s of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a master’s in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan where he is also completing his Ph.D. dissertation on higher education finance. James’ primary scholarship and career interests focus on organizational strategy and leadership in faith-based liberal arts colleges.
