Dr. Thoennes advocates a return to the fundamental truths of God's character in order to combat the distortions brought on by the unfaithful aspects of culture.

    I especially appreciate his comments about Anthropocentrism versus Theocentrism and how it affects evangelism and worship and pastoral care...unfortunately, my home church is becoming the poster child for Anthropocentric worship and evangelism :( I pray that the leaders will become aware of this folly and move back toward God-centeredness.
