Christianity and Political Views

From BBST 458: Theology of Mission

Dr. Allen Yeh explains the interaction between Christianity and politics. He examines the ways that the church has tied itself to closely to political agendas and argues against binary views of politics. Yeh shows that the definition of "conservative" is constantly changing and Christianity has historically fallen on the radical end of society, particularly in the life of Jesus. He goes on to discuss Christian perspectives toward the major tenets of conservative American government: capitalism, small government, and democracy.
