Stanley D. Williams, Ph.D. is a motion picture and novel story consultant, screenwriter, filmmaker, show producer, and distributor. He's author of the classic story structure book: The Moral Premise: Harnessing Virtue and Vice for Box Office Success, sometimes referred to as the sequel (about movies) to Lajos Egri's The Art of Dramatic Writing. Stan holds a Ph.D. in Communications-Film Studies (Narrative Theory), with undergraduate degrees in Mass Communications and Physics. Since 2008 he has worked with Will Smith as a story and script consultant on over a dozen projects, and consults weekly with other filmmakers and authors. Stan has been a guest on radio and cable television talk shows, has presented workshops at various conferences across the U.S., and has produced hundreds of projects for film, television and video release mostly for corporate clients. In a past life, Stan was an electronic engineer who wrote in-flight procedures and trained astronauts for NASA's Skylab space station.
