Chantelle Gibbs

  • Adjunct, Communications Studies

Chantelle Gibbs has served as a Communication Studies adjunct professor since 2014 and also teaches art history at elementary schools throughout Orange County. As a Biola alumna (‘12) who competed on the Speech and Debate team and helped originate the school’s improv comedy troupe, she is thankful for the opportunity to carry such experiences into the classroom, challenging students to speak artfully and confidently about the truth on which their lives are predicated. Gibbs has served in musical worship and youth ministry for many years, from leading at her local church to starting the Young Life chapter in East Los Angeles' Boyle Heights neighborhood. She devoted numerous summers to working in various capacities at Camp Hammer, a Christian camp nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains, and now often returns as a speaker. She splits her time between Los Angeles and Orange County, traveling to additional work opportunities within the entertainment industry, to coffee shops for reading books and to the incredible community of family and friends she does life with.
